Why add your blog to Technorati?
So you have a blog on Blogger or some other blogging platform, and when you post Google is pretty quick to index your site. What if your blog is attached to your site? It might feel a little isolated there. You need to let the rest of the world that you have just said something really important on that blog, how do you do that?
There are a few options that I want to cover, one of which is Technorati. In their own words:
“Technorati collects, organizes, and distributes the global online conversation.“
Nicely put, if your blog is feeling lonely out there, let it join in the conversation, by adding it to their directory.
You can simply ping your blog to let them know of its existance: http://technorati.com/ping/or
You can Create a profile and claim your blogs, again succinctly explained on the site:
“Claiming your blog establishes that you are its owner, and allows you to use Technorati services to increase your blog’s visibility.“
So why add your blog to Technorati? To increase visibility, and the profile of your blog.
